Kahani is an Indian thriller film in which Vidya Balan plays a seven month pregnant woman in search of her lost husband in Kolkata. The film released on 9 March 2012 and was well received by the critics and audience.

Plot :

The first scene shows a person in mask experimenting with 3 rats. He pours some liquid in their cage. The rats die immediately. In the next scene, in a running metro a milk bottle from a ladies bag accidentally falls and the same liquid comes out, which leads to the death of every passenger in the metro. In the next scene, Pregnant Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) arrives in Kolkata from London to find her missing husband Arnab Bagchi. She arrives at Kalighat Thana to report a missing person FIR. Kharaj and Parambroto are the 2 inspectors available there who question her. She shows a picture of her and her husband to them. Her investigation will lead into a thrilling climax that reveals many secrets.
